A conservative treatment known as Hemorrhoid Banding is a procedure that involves a small rubber band to be slipped on an internal hemorrhoid. This will cause the tissue distal to the hemorrhoid to die after several days and sloughs off.

Tongue-tie (ankyloglossia) is a condition that restricts the tongue's range of motion. There is an unusually short, thick and tight tissue tethers the bottom of the tongue's tip to the floor of the mouth. In children, this results in poor sucking resulting to poor nutrition.
